Recently, I needed to find potential authors who were also bloggers to connect with me and join my blog hop! So, instead of asking Google for it, I asked Twitter! Interesting you might say, but it worked like a beauty. I figured that people who mention the word 'author' or 'books' or 'kindle' were more likely to be authors or huge readers!
So, what? I used some Twitter APIs to find out more about them and then get their blog links from their profiles and walah....I had scored the points. I got what I needed within a short time. On +Google you only get one blogger at a time but using my solution, I got more like 15 bloggers per execution! So, I just chose what I thought was the most likely link to be owned by an author and sent a request to join me in the blog hop experience!
I was done!
Now, am introducing this idea to you because if you are an author, I know you would like to connect with other authors who blog around the web and share their books and ideas. I am going to keep working on the script and turn it into an application that you and others can utilize to save yourselves some precious time!
